There's never a day of rest for Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman as he constructs a never-ending roster.
On Monday, the Eagles announced that they have signed edge rusher Patrick Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster. This was one of four moves made by the team:

Were these good moves made by the Eagles entering Week 2?
Johnson performed well in the preseason as he had four tackles, one sack, and one interception. He was someone Roseman singled out, someone that he wanted back on the roster when the Eagles finalized their roster cutdowns.
Cooks is a tough loss as he had a stellar start to training camp, but he got hurt in the preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals on special teams. That moment kept him off the field long enough for Darius Cooper to steal the spotlight and make the 53-man roster.
Johnson and Pierce both played for the Eagles in the preseason, as Johnson was the leading rusher with 77 yards and a touchdown. Pierce has been one undrafted rookie that every fan and media member has kept an eye on as an eventual sleeper for the Eagles.
What could all these moves mean? The Eagles have had a heavy focus on depth at edge after the signing of Za'Darius Smith on Friday.
Some wonder if the Eagles are setting the roster up for another big signing to come for the team. Free agent cornerback Mike Hilton worked out with the Eagles on Monday as Philly could be looking to add a new starter in the secondary.

More moves are expected to happen, but could the next be a massive one in the secondary?
