Howie Roseman gained a significant reputation in league circles. The Philadelphia Eagles won another Super Bowl thanks in no small part to his masterful roster construction, supreme drafting, and willingness to strike with conviction when opportunities arise. The general manager put the pieces in place, and head coach Nick Sirianni molded them into a title-winning unit.
The Eagles lost some influential figures as expected this offseason. Teams were always going to latch onto their free agents in the hope of bringing some success to their organizations. Fortunately for fans, Roseman is always thinking two steps ahead.
Roseman's prepared for this eventuality. The Eagles are loaded with draft picks over the next two years to restock and maintain their status as an NFL powerhouse. This is an ominous sign for the league, especially considering the freedom Philadelphia has during the draft to move up and down the board.
Eagles GM Howie Roseman projected to make daring trade-up in 2025 NFL Draft
This was a topic discussed in greater detail by Chad Reuter from NFL.com. The respected analyst projected the Eagles to trade up in the first round after striking a hypothetical deal with the Los Angeles Rams. He thought going up for another wide receiver or some help on the defensive front might be a risk worth taking if a willing partner can be found.

"Eagles general manager Howie Roseman took a year off from trading up in the first round in 2024. … Can he really stop himself from getting back in the mix this April? Maybe. But I wouldn't be surprised if he climbs the board for one of this year's top receivers or to add more pieces to Philly's stellar defensive line. The Day 2 pick he'd send to L.A. wouldn't be a deterrent because he could pick up more assets in separate deals later during the weekend."Chad Reuter
Roseman will have plans in place and a lengthy shortlist of options. He'll have potential trade-up partners in mind if there's a chance to land someone high on his board. And fans have complete faith that he'll do what's necessary for the Eagles to make another bold Super Bowl bid next time around.
The Eagles have talent everywhere you look. Their trenches are formidable, and they've got opportunistic, skilled players on both sides of the football. Jalen Hurts is a franchise quarterback, and Saquon Barkley is the tone-setting running back riding on the crest of a wave. If Roseman can ace his draft the way he's done in previous years, this could be a potential dynasty when it's all said and done.
The Washington Commanders have been bold this offseason to keep pace. But the Eagles are the team to beat until further notice.
And they have Roseman to thank.
