Nobody could have imagined when the Philadelphia Eagles selected Quinyon Mitchell in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft that he would become an All-Pro in just two years into his career.
At the time, Mitchell was a rising name, but with him playing at Toledo, it was somewhat considered a risk for the Eagles. That gamble paid off as he's arguably the best shutdown corner in the NFL.
Philly loved how that worked out the first time, so that influenced what they do in the 2026 NFL Draft. Eagles reporter James Simone shared that the team was at Toledo's Pro Day as they watched players like Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Andre Fuller, and Nasir Bowers. Simone shared that the Eagles spoke with Fuller, as they had previously spoken to him at the East-West Shrine game.
Eagles look at Toledo's secondary at Pro Day for some help in 2026
McNeil-Warren is the big name from Toledo as he is projected to be a late first-round pick in the draft. Last season, he racked up 77 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, five pass deflections, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, one touchdown, and a half of a sack.
Fuller is projected to be a Day 3 pick, as he isn't a turnover machine, but, like Mitchell, he has proven to be a solid shutdown corner. Last season with the Rockets, Fuller had 49 tackles, 11 pass deflections, 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
Bowers is in a similar spot as Fuller, but he had more interceptions in his career than Fuller did. In 2025, Bowers had 27 tackles, four pass deflections, two interceptions, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery.
Philly needs more help at safety, as even though they have Marcus Epps back with Andrew Mukuba, McNeil-Warren would be an instant upgrade to the unit and would most likely overtake Epps for a starting spot. Fuller and Bowers are just nice depth pieces to the secondary, as they don't need them to be Day 1 starters.

The Eagles will have the option and chance to add another Toledo defender if they want to. All three would make great picks for them if they take the same gamble they did with Mitchell two years ago, and look at how well that turned out for them.
