The Philadelphia Eagles are making sure to do their homework on all the 2026 NFL Draft prospects before they make their final decision at 23.
Many draft experts have the Eagles taking an offensive lineman, safety, or wide receiver with their first-round pick. Their most recent visit might give fans a better idea of what they're thinking.
The Athletic's Zach Berman reported that the Eagles had Penn State offensive guard Olaivavega Ioane at their facility for a visit. Last season with the Nittany Lions, Ioane was a first-team All-American and first-team All-Big Ten. He is currently the top-ranked guard in the draft and is expected to go in the top 15.

Eagles welcome Olaivavega Ioane for a visit before NFL Draft
Ioane has all the tools to be a Day 1 starter in the NFL, as he is a great run blocker and arguably the best pass blocker in the class. Last year, Pro Football Focus graded him out at an 80 overall, ranking him 13th out of 686 interior offensive linemen, and had an 87 pass block grade, ranking 20th. He allowed just four pressures, but not a single sack or hurry in 311 pass blocking snaps, and he had only one penalty all year.
The Eagles would love to have Ioane on the team as he would instantly give the offensive line the depth they need. After the scare of Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson almost retiring, as well as the free agency departures of Brett Toth and Matt Pryor, more offensive linemen are needed on the team.
What would make an Ioane pick interesting is that Dickerson would clearly start, but that would create some controversy at right guard with Tyler Steen being the starter there. While the 2025 season was not bad for Steen in his first full year as the starter, Ioane would make an interesting argument to start over Steen, as he is the better prospect there.

Philly has some tough decisions to make to add depth to the team through the draft, but having Ioane picked there would spark some interesting conversations. The Eagles most likely won't get him at 23, but the NFL Draft always has many surprises up its sleeve.
