A brand-new system, installed with the arrival of offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, gives the Philadelphia Eagles' offense a clean slate in 2026.
Now that we've ranked the defensive position groups, it's time to break down our offensive rankings.
#5 - Tight Ends
With Dallas Goedert returning for what appears to be one final run in Philadelphia, this unit is solid, yet unspectacular. The nine-year vet has a nose for the end zone, with 11 touchdowns this past season, tying him with Trey McBride for most among tight ends. And while Goedert provides a consistent safety blanket for quarterback Jalen Hurts, there are no game-breakers in this group, while depth is a question mark.
After leaving this past draft, the hope was that Eli Stowers would inject plenty of athleticism and playmaking ability into this group, but he hasn't hit the ground running. Stowers appears some distance from making an impact, limiting this unit's overall talent level. Veteran Johnny Mundt is a stout blocking tight end and will have a key role alongside Goedert from the jump.
#4 - Wide Receivers
The post-A.J. Brown era has begun, but injuries this summer have clouded the forecast for this revamped wideout group.
DeVonta Smith is fully capable of excelling as the new unquestioned No. 1 wideout, but just like rookie Makai Lemon, Smith missed ample time in camp. There's never a good time to succumb to injuries, but the duo missing so many reps as the offense is implemented makes their time missed all the more concerning. The good news is that both Smith and Lemon are back in action, so these next few weeks before Week 1 are critical in building rapport in this new system.
Newcomer Dontayvion Wicks has enjoyed a tremendous training camp and could be destined for a breakout campaign in his first season in Philadelphia. Early indications should leave him as the second option out wide for Hurts when the regular season kicks off. Meanwhile, Darius Cooper and Hollywood Brown will be in the mix for Hurts and company in this group.
#3 - Quarterbacks
Another year signals another offensive coordinator for Jalen Hurts. The Eagles' star signal-caller returns under center for his sixth season, with each of his previous seasons featuring a new coordinator to work with. As the dog days of summer have rolled along, Hurts and Mannion have seemingly built a strong rapport, and Hurts has had his typical positive impact on his teammates.
Depth is a potential issue for this group, as neither Tanner McKee nor Andy Dalton has done much this summer to inspire confidence, should either be called into action.
#2 - Offensive Line
The starting unit is back intact, as Lane Johnson returns for what could be his swan song, while standouts Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson look to stay on the gridiron following injury-plagued 2025 seasons. When healthy, this unit is as powerful as there is in the NFL, and the depth of this group - one a serious question mark - has been fortified thanks to the impressive summer performances of Willie Lampkin and Drew Kendall.
#1 - Running backs
While all eyes fixate on Saquon Barkley when people visualize the Birds' backfield, the emergence of Tank Bigsby gives this group the strongest one-two punch it's had in years. Barkley has looked sensational all summer, while Bigsby provides starter-level talent and an excellent change-of-pace weapon for Mannion to mix in. Will Shipley has also been highly efficient with his touches lately, as he showed in the team's preseason game against New England. As a third back, he provides another proven target in the passing phase for Hurts as well.

The collective talent in this backfield is both deep and dangerous, heading the charge as the strongest position group for the offense entering the 2026 regular season.
