It's been a busy day. The Philadelphia Eagles' coordinators met with the media on Tuesday. It's a short week which means a week's worth of work will need to be compacted into the span of about three days.

The Birds gave us another injury report. Vinny Curry announced he's retiring, making him the third member of the 2012 Eagles draft class to do so since this past March.

Philly also shuffled the roster. A familiar face is gone which may mean another familiar face is set to return.

Jack Stoll's dismissal opens the door for a possible Jordan Mailata return.

The Eagles announced on Tuesday that they're waiving Jack Stoll from the 53-man roster. If we were to guess, that may mean we could see Jordan Mailata as early as Thursday night vs. the Washington Commanders.

Jordan hasn't played since Week 6 vs. the Cleveland Browns. He has been recovering from a hamstring injury and has been on Philly's injured reserve since then. The Birds announced on November 11th that they had opened a 21-day practice window for him.

That gave us cause to believe our favorite left tackle was close to returning. No disrespect to Fred Johnson is intended. The latter filled in wonderfully in Mailata's absence vs. some good competition.

Still, the Eagles' decision to release Jack Stoll further fuels our belief that Mailata should return soon. They have until December 2nd to elevate him back onto the roster. If they don't, he returns to the injured reserve where he'll remain until the season's conclusion.

Don't expect that to happen though.

Worth noting: Oh, and by the way, don't weep for Jack Stoll in light of the recent news. Again, he's a familiar face. Don't rule out his reacquisition as a practice squad member.
