Russell Wilson and five Steelers teammates who hope to stress the Eagles defense

Here are a handful of Steelers who hope to give the Eagles' defense its toughest test in quite some time.

As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you've been thinking about this coming game and hoping the wins keep coming. The Detroit Lions are 12-1, and Philly must keep pace. It just sort of feels like, if things came down to a postseason game vs. them, the best-case scenario would be to play them at Lincoln Financial Field, but what do we know?

Sometimes, it feels like the Birds are a better road team. Maybe a game at Ford Field is favorable, but we'd still advise stacking the wins and hoping Detroit drops a couple. Enter the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Even if you don't have a dog in the fight, this is one of those games that are must-see television. This one is loaded with stars, and several intriguing subplots.

Philly has never beaten Russell Wilson. Then again, Mike Tomlin hasn't won in Philly as Steelers head coach. Something has got to give. This could be a fascinating quarterback duel. There's a twist though.

Jalen Hurts is struggling, and Russell isn't. The Eagles defense has been steady. They're a huge reason why Philly has won nine straight games.

Russell Wilson is bringing some ballers with him to face the Eagles defense.

Russell Wilson is 6-1 as the Steelers starter. Jalen and company are 11-2. Part of the reason for that is the steady play of Vic Fangio's defense, but they'll be tested.

Philly's defense will need another supreme effort if they're to silence Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. If they do, the Eagles will extend their streak to a franchise-record tenth straight win.

It's doable. Heck, from what we hear all of the rumored 'locker-room tension' is on the offensive side of the ball anyway.

Sheesh! Give us a break! Hopefully, we're finally past that.

Running Back Jaylen Warren

Najee Harris leads the Steelers' offense in rushing having racked up 877 yards during the first 13 weeks of the season. Jaylen Warren is an intriguing change of pace. He has carried the ball 87 times this season and averages 4.1 yards per carry.

Tight End Pat Freiermuth

Pat Freiermuth has been a steady target for the Steelers since entering the NFL in 2021. His five receiving TDs are tops in that category for the Steelers offense this season. His 44 receptions and 470 yards receiving both rank secind in those categories to George Pickens, If he is out, Freiermuth's workload could increase substantially.

Wide Receivers Van Jefferson & Calvin Austin III

Pickens' potential absence doesn't mean the Steelers are depleted at wide receiver. Keep an eye on tight end Darnell Washington, but Calvin Austin and Van Jefferson could combine to make Pickens' absence less stressful on the visiting team. They have combined for 41 receptions, 618 yards receiving, and six TDs.

Guard Isaac Seumalo

Dan Moore Jr. is the Steelers' left tackle and the man who protects Russell Wilson's blindside. To his right is a guy we're familiar with, left guard Isaac Seumalo.

Center Zach Frazier and right guard Mason McCormick team with Isaac along Pittsburgh's offensive line's interior. They get Jalen Carter and Eagles D-line duty. Fingers are crossed that Carter is his usual game-wrecking self. If he is, that's good for Philly.
