Saquon Barkley adds another notch to his Eagles utility belt
At the time of this story being published, things aren't going well for the Philadelphia Eagles, but we haven't seen any nails hammered into the coffin. That's a good thing. If you've tuned in late to Thursday Night Football or haven't turned on the tube yet, here's what you missed.
Philly's first drive traveled inside the Washington Commanders' 25-yard line. Somehow, things ended with a missed Jake Elliott field goal, this one from 44 yards out. Braden Mann uncorked an ugly punt, one that was about 38 yards.
The Washington Commanders drove right down the field and scored a TD.
So, despite scoring first-quarter points in Weeks 9-10, Philly's penchant for slow starts seemingly has returned. Oh... And, Landon Dickerson's leg was rolled on the first drive, but he returned.
We refuse to end this story on anything but a high note though. There is something we can smile about as Birds fans.

Saquon Barkley eclipses 1,000 yards rushing.
Thank Heaven for Saquon Barkley. Only the Good Lord in Heaven knows where the Birds would be without Saquon Barkley. He's been a revelation. He has also reached a nice milestone.
Philly's star tailback has eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing on the season. Who would have thought. Both he and Derrick Henry have been two of the top tailbacks since they entered the NFL. Fast forward to the present. They're seemingly battling one another for the NFL's rushing title.
We're pulling for the guy in green.
He's reached super hero status. We've had Swole Batman (A.J. Brown) and Skinny Batman (DeVonta Smith) for a while. Saquon's our new caped crusader, and he's added another notch to the utility belt.
