Saquon Barkley is spearheading one of the great conversions ever recorded

The Giants are showing up to Eagles home games to cheer for Philadelphia now... Yes, we said the Giants!

Some of you are fortunate to have grandparents who are still living. Some are even luckier. Your great-grandparents are still alive, and as beautiful as we're sure they all are, if they weren't born before 1933, they weren't even around when the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants began feuding.

The first meeting between these bitter rivals came on October 15th, 1933. Big Blue took that by a 56-0 final score.

Since then, we've seen 185 meetings. Philly leads the all-time series by a 95-88-2 margin. The Birds have owned the bad guys as of late, so as a result, some argue that the rivalry has lost some of its luster.

WE TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THAT ONE.

Saquon Barkley has done the unthinkable, converting former and current Giants into Eagles fans.

Whether it be Chuck Bednarik's knockout shot on Frank Gifford or three 'Miracles' at the Meadowlands, there's never a shortage of talking points with this Eagles-Giants rivalry.

By the way, we count Brian Westbrook's punt return as the second miracle and DeSean Jackson's punt return as the third. Others have their opinions. That one is ours.

That's another story for another day though. Here's today's point. If any steam was lost involving the Birds' and G-Men or the kettles cooled, Saquon Barkley's defection reignited and fanned the flames.

But, that isn't even the best part. How's this for amazing? Saquon's former teammates, Daniel Jones and Sterling Shepard, showed up to cheer for him in the Divisional Round. Odell Beckham offered a shout-out on social media.

Jones, Shepard, and OBJ may not be quite ready to rock an Eagles jersey on gamedays, but give him time. Their defection has begun.

You saw Todd Gurley's post before Philly played the Los Angeles Rams. This is how it starts.

Saquon has done the unthinkable, on the gridiron and off. Still, if Giants start defecting and becoming Eagles fans, that may be a sign of the apocalypse. No conversion would be stranger or more earth-shattering.
