The Philadelphia Eagles turn their attention to the Tennessee Titans for their Week 2 tilt.
The Eagles have to travel to Tennessee for this contest. It's an ideal matchup for the Birds, especially for running back Saquon Barkley.
The Titans looked rough to start the season, falling 23-10 to the New York Jets. In that contest, Tennessee allowed 152 rushing yards, showcasing that's going to be a real problem for them. That should have Barkley and Eagles fans thrilled for this matchup.
Eagles should expect Saquon Barkley to top 100 yards vs. Titans
The Eagles are moving things around on the offensive line, as Landon Dickerson is headed to IR after a putrid debut. Despite the movement upfront, Philadelphia should be able to dominate the Titans' DL.
Last week, the Titans had no answers for New York's ground game. Throughout the contest, the Jets constantly picked up four to five yards, leading them to hold the ball for 38:46 of the game. While New York's offensive line is up and coming, the Eagles are KNOWN for having one of the best offensive lines in football, and they should feast on this one.
The Titans have Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin-Myers upfront, but there are ways to neutralize and game plan around them. Breece Hall ran for 102 yards, averaging 4.6 yards a pop. Input a better front and Barkley getting the ball. There's no reason that the Penn State product shouldn't rush for at least 100 yards in this one.
In the win over the Commanders, Barkley was consistently hit in the backfield but still ran for 83 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. According to NextGenStats, 78 of Barkley's 83 yards came after contact. He was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on seven of his carries and still forced five missed tackles.
He was making magic happen against Washington, which should be very encouraging for what's possible in Week 2. The Titans looked like they were going to be one of the worst teams in all of football. And that's not sugarcoating anything; they looked that BAD.
Imagine what things could look like for Barkley with open space in front of him and not getting hit as soon as he touches the ball?
Philadelphia was a balanced attack in Week 1, with 25 passes and runs split evenly. Barkley is going to get his fair share of carries, and this is the prime spot for him to eclipse 100 rushing yards and have a few big chunk plays.
The Titans have guys like Keldric Faulk, Jacob Martin, and Jermaine Johnson II slated to play significant snaps on the defensive line, yet all three players were negative against the run in Week 1. Philadelphia will succeed on the ground, led by Barkley, which will only open things up for Jalen Hurts.

The Eagles love to run the rock, and this game sets up to be an early-season success in that department for everyone included, especially Barkley.
