Sneaky Steelers the Eagles should spotlight after the George Pickens injury news

The Eagles are, no doubt, discussing these guys during team meetings this week.

We have a big one to watch on Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles host the cross-state Pittsburgh Steelers. Something has to give.

Philly hasn't beaten Russell Wilson in any of the six games they have seen him. Mike Tomlin hasn't beaten the Birds in a road game.

No one has mentioned this as a Super Bowl preview, but it might be. Fair warning though. If the Eagles and Steelers qualify for football's biggest game, the citizens of New Orleans should beware.

Steelers fans are almost as zany as Eagles fans are, but we will make you a promise. It's common to see Terrible Towels in opponents' stadiums, but the Black and Gold WILL NOT take over Lincoln Financial Field.

Let's talk about a few sneaky Steelers the Eagles offense should monitor.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and his coaching staff don't have to make a decision on George Pickens' status for Sunday's game right now. Tomlin did, however, state Pickens would have been doubtful if a game was on the schedule for the next day.

An MRI revealed his hamstring injury was more severe than we originally thought. Philly can't nap through this one though. As you saw, that almost resulted in a home loss vs. the Carolina Panthers.

Pittsburgh is one of the biggest brands in sports. They never lack star power. We all know Russell Wilson, Najee Harris, Mike Williams, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and T.J. Watt, but Philly must also account for those sneaky Steelers who can wreck things.

Wide Receiver Scotty Miller

Scotty Miller caught three of four targets vs. the Cleveland Browns in Week 14. If Pickens is out, he'll be expected to take on a larger role again.

He stands at five-foot-nine and tips the scales at 174 pounds. He could do work as a slot guy asked to operate in space.

Running Back Cordarrelle Patterson

We all know Cordarrelle Patterson well. He's been a Swiss-Army knife of sorts. What you may not have known is he's now in Pittsburgh.

He has hauled in ten receptions en route to 69 yards receiving this season. He has added another 123 yards to the Steelers cause on 28 carries. We all know he has the game-breaking ability.

Linebacker Payton Wilson

T.J. Watt and Patrick Queen will get all of the attention at Pittsburgh's linebacker position for obvious reasons, but don't sleep on Payton Wilson. He has logged 55 total tackles, an interception, and a pass breakup so far this season.
