There's no misunderstanding with Howie Roseman's stance on Eagles legend returning

He made that very clear.

What a moment it was last year for Philadelphia Eagles fans to see Brandon Graham come out of retirement and help the team out late in the season when they had injury problems.

Graham put up respectable performances for the Eagles as the team reached the postseason. The veteran defensive lineman has made it clear he wants to return to the Eagles in 2026 if the team wants him. His general manager, Howie Roseman, made his feelings known to the media at the NFL Combine with his stance on a potential Graham return in 2026.

"Brandon Graham is always welcome in Philadelphia," Roseman said via The Athletic's Zach Berman. "When I think about what he's done as a player and person, and thinking back last year to the versatility he showed, coming in and end of year and reducing inside, playing DT. Just all-time Eagles great. Future Eagles Hall of Famer."

Graham played a much different role for the Eagles last season than he has in previous seasons as he stepped in a lot of times at defensive tackle, especially when Jalen Carter was out with his shoulders injury. It ended up being a great move, as Graham had a two-game stretch against the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders in which he recorded three sacks.

In nine games with the Eagles, Graham had eight tackles, three quarterback hits, three sacks, and two tackles for loss. In pass-rushing situations, he added 11 pressures and eight hurries in those games.

Last season proved that, even though Graham is 37, he can play at a high level. The Eagles wouldn't mind having him back if he is willing to continue playing defensive tackle and get into the rotation with Carter, Jordan Davis, and Moro Ojomo.

One concern might be how much they would pay him. While they don't want to disrespect him after his decade-plus of service to the franchise, the truth is that Graham is not the same player he was five years ago, as he has regressed in production.

While there are bigger roster decisions to make for Roseman, like trying to re-sign Jaelan Phillips, he can have at least some comfort in knowing that Graham is right there to be signed and can help this team at any time.
