13 players landed on the Philadelphia Eagles' initial practice squad, where they will help the team during the season off the field.
There were a lot of conversations about the 53-man roster and some of the decisions made. The Eagles held onto four quarterbacks and lack the depth they need at linebacker and safety.
This leaves the door open to review the practice squad list and think about which players should actually be on the active roster. Here are four players who have no business on the practice squad and should be available on game day for the Eagles.
Which Eagles on the practice squad should be on the active roster?
Chance Campbell, LB
Campbell got a shoutout from defensive coordinator Vic Fangio during training camp, which doesn't happen often. That's why many thought Campbell could make the team. He finished the preseason with 10 tackles.
The Eagles only have four inside linebackers on the roster, leaving room to add at least one more. Hopefully, Philly can address the quarterback situation and get Campbell on the active roster to help on special teams.
Carson Steele, RB
Steele had an outstanding training camp and preseason, proving to be a versatile weapon in the offense. He did everything from running the ball and catching passes to helping on special teams. Steele had 59 rushing yards and led the team with 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns in three preseason games.
Many saw Steele as a potential fullback in this offense. With Cameron Latu claimed by the New England Patriots, Steele really should move up to the active roster and be in that role, as well as be on special teams on kickoff coverage.
Cole Wisniewski, S
Wisniewski never really got a chance to prove himself during training camp since he missed most of it with an injury. He showed good signs late in camp that he could be a good weapon on special teams and a depth piece at safety.
The Eagles have concerns with Marcus Epps or Michael Carter II starting at safety, even though they had solid training camps. Keeping Wisniewski on the active roster at least gives them some insurance. He was drawing Reed Blankenship comparisons, so that's hard to ignore.

Joshua Weru, EDGE
Weru has played in three football games in his life, and all were preseason games with the Eagles. While he still needs development, he got a sack in his second game.
The Eagles could use help on special teams, and Weru would actually be perfect for it. Also, getting some real experience in the regular season would be big for him.
