Tom Brady sends priceless message to Nick Foles during Eagles' playoff win

Super Bowl LII came up on the broadcast during the NFC Championship Game and it was glorious.

As the Philadelphia Eagles punched their ticket to Super Bowl LIX, Tom Brady was in the booth calling the game with Kevin Burkhardt. When the camera panned to Eagles legend Nick Foles in the second half of the game, Burkhardt jokingly made a comment about who it was that Foles beat in the legendary Super Bowl showdown in early 2018.

That, of course, was Brady. He and his Patriots were on the losing end of the epic Super Bowl LII shootout. It could have been an incredibly awkward moment in the booth or one where Brady pointed to his seven Super Bowl titles but he took the joke in stride.

"Nick, I don't hate you," Brady said. "I'm jealous of you. You caught it, I didn't."

Eagles fans will enjoy Tom Brady's Super Bowl LII comments

Brady is referring to the famous Philly Special play where, on 4th-and-Goal, Corey Clement was snapped the ball who pitched it to Trey Burton who threw it to Foles in the end zone for the touchdown. The play has gone down in Philadelphia history.

On the other sideline, the Patriots tried a similar play where Brady dropped the catch sent his way. Brady was joking and being nice on the air but Eagles fans probably could sense that the loss (and that play) still bother him years later. It doesn't matter that he has seven rings (one of those coming against Philly in the early 2000s), he's still steamed about the rings he didn't win.

It was only a matter of time before the greatest football game in Eagles history (at least so far) was brought up in a game that Brady was calling. The fact that it was in a game that put the Eagles on the cusp of winning their second Super Bowl in seven years made it even sweeter.
