The Philadelphia Eagles have continued to be one of the most frustrating teams in the NFL during their Black Friday duel against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears. This is an 8-3 team in first place in the division, but they find themselves barely scraping their wins together thanks to offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

The Eagles once again limped through a brutal first half in which they managed just three points. Jalen Hurts completed just five passes (two for 11 yards to AJ Brown), while Saquon Barkley had just 23 yards rushing against what is a very up-and-down Bears defense.

Patullo's poor performance is not longer just an Eagles fanbase issue; it's a national talking point. Amazon analyst Tony Gonzalez offered some scathing reviews for Patullo as the Eagles went back into the tunnel for halftime.

"Is it Patullo? Is it Jalen Hurts? Is it Saquon that can't run?," Gonzalez said on the Amazon Prime live broadcast? "Whatever it is, they'd better get it fixed and get it fixed quick." With Richard Sherman offering similar prophetic thoughts before the game, Patullo's ineffectiveness is now even harder to ignore.

The Bears led at the end of the first half despite Caleb Williams having one of his worst games of the year. The running game has been the only reason the Bears are in this game, and the Eagles just refuse to take advantage of the good fortune they left them.

Despite all of those struggles, the Eagles still entered halftime down only by seven points and in line to receive the second-half kickoff (a 3-and-out followed). As has always been the case for Philadelphia this season, the team is still in a position to win a ton of games, but in very unconvincing fashion.

Patullo could have gotten the fanbase back on his side when the second half kicked off, but tallying one total yard in their first two drives while Hurts threw his second interception of the season is only going to make the raging fire underneath him even hotter.

Eagles fans never would have thought that an offensive coordinator would have made them pine for the days of Brian Johnson running the show, but if you ask Gonzalez, Sherman, and most of the fans at Lincoln Financial Field today, most of them would likely prefer him over Patullo.
