Trolls attack as photo surfaces of a young Jayden Daniels in an Eagles jersey

The power of social media. Something you did 20 years ago can come back to bite you!

The NFC Championship Game nears, and the trash talk has flown freely. There's been nothing from the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders coaches and players who are actually on the current rosters. They've been respectful. All the trash talk has come from former players, fans, and social media trolls.

Seth Joyner started the party and hasn't slacked off. He's gone from stating the Commanders don't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning to mocking them from being so upset about what a FORMER player is saying.

Jason Kelce upped the ante on 94 WIP-FM. He says the Eagles are better than the Commanders "at every position". Don't look now, but the unofficial social media historians have joined the party.

A photo surfaces of a young Jayden Daniels rocking a Donovan McNabb jersey.

What can we say? It's the social media age, and decisions we made 20 years ago can come back to haunt us 20 years later. This one's kind of cool though. Recently, a clip surfaced of Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels, one where he's throwing up the peace sign while donning a Donovan McNabb jersey.

Just in case you're curious, the answer is yes. Donovan McNabb 'liked' the photo.

Truthfully, we won't knock him for this. 5 was awesome. He wasn't as engaging with the City of Philadelphia as Brian Dawkins or Jason Kelce were, but 5 is responsible for a ton of our good memories. Daniels, as you know, is still writing his story.

Daniels cut his teeth at LSU with the Bayou Bengals after a brief stint with the Arizona State Sun Devils. He was taken second overall by the Commanders in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Some say his rookie season has been the best we've ever seen by NFL standards. He's earned a spot on the Pro Football Writers Association's All-Rookie Team and the Pro Bowl roster. He's a shoo-in to win the AP's Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, but let's hope this chapter of his story ends with a loss in the NFC Championship Game.
