We understand why some of you are frustrated. We've long concluded that you believe every Philadelphia Eagles win should be seamless. We've never understood that. Regardless of how much better you think your team is than its opponent, they have NFL stars on the other side of the ball too.

Philly survived and advanced. That's what football looks like sometimes. Your team isn't going to throttle everyone like you see some of your alma maters do in college. Besides, Philly drew a worthy opponent in the Green Bay Packers.
We won't make excuses. Yes, Philly's offense needs to be better. The Cheeseheads frustrated the Birds attack, but give it up for Vic Fangio and his defense. How lucky are we that we can rely on them in tight times?
But, alas... Nakobe Dean is done for the season.

We've talked about nepotism until we're blue in the face. Is that some of the reason why Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is here? Well... It's easy to argue why that makes sense, but make no mistake, if he couldn't ball, we would have all picked up on this by now.
Dean's season-ending injury means it's time to reignite the 'next man up' mantra, and for Philly, that 'next man up' is Trot Jr.
He doesn't have to do all by himself. He has First-Team All-Pro Zack Baun with him working in tandem, but how about the endorsement from Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio?

Coach Fangio spoke to Philly media members for a tad over nine minutes this past Tuesday. As usual, he was worth the listen, but if we're being honest, that's the biggest takeaway we took from this one.
