Two weeks ago, the Philadelphia Eagles played the New York Giants led by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and lost by double digits despite being massive favorites in the game. Dart played well, which could be worrisome for Eagles fans if the Giants somehow have finally found their franchise quarterback.
Philly will get another crack at the Giants just two weeks after that game and even Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio recognized that Dart could end up being trouble for his team, not just now but down the road as well.
“One lesson learned is the teams that needed quarterbacks that bypassed him—they’re going to regret that," Fangio said. "Obviously very athletic, an elite scrambler, I think their coaches have done a great job with him. They've developed the offense around him... He's a good player."
Vic Fangio just made it clear how Eagles really feel about Jaxson Dart
Fangio learned firsthand what Dart could do and now know not to take the guy lightly. In his first game against the Eagles, Dart threw for 195 yards and one touchdown, which aren't eye popping stats but he took care of the football and his team ultimately won the game 34-17. That's all that matters at the end of the day.
Now, the Eagles have another crack at Dart and Fangio knows what to expect now. He has film on Dart from not only his previous game against the Giants quarterback but from his other four starts as well, including a 283 yard-three touchdown performance against the Broncos last week.
The sad reality here is that while, yes, it's still very early into Dart's career and he could easily turn into a pumpkin by season's end, right now, he looks pretty dang good. He's giving Giants fans hope and Eagles fans absolutely hate seeing that.

Hopefully, when the Eagles square off with Dart this weekend, they take him seriously and bring the Giants back down to earth. It'd be really unfortunate if the G-Men have their franchise quarterback but it's good to know that Vic Fangio and the Eagles defense will be better prepared for him this time around.
