With Philadelphia Eagles fans so worried about what's going on with the offense after their 24-21 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12, they forgot that there are some big problems on defense as well.

It has been reported that Eagles safety Andrew Mukuba has a fractured ankle and will need surgery, so he's expected to miss time, potentially the rest of the season. The other safety, Reed Blankenship, got hurt in the game as well with a thigh issue. Cornerback Adoree' Jackson was the one to start the secondary injuries against Dallas as he left the game with a concussion.

There are concerns about what the plan is with at least Sydney Brown guaranteed to be the starter for either Mukuba or Blankenship. But what's the plan at safety and cornerback with all these injuries?

Fangio has everything figured out already for the Eagles

Starting with the safeties, Brown will start in place of Mukuba. Fangio actually went as far as to praise Brown in practice for his play.

"Yeah I think he's been doing a good job at practice with the reps he does get. He's done a good job staying entuned to meetings and the walkthroughs and I'm excited to see how he does."

Blankenship is the other big question: will he play? Fangio told reporters that he expects Blankenship to play in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears on a short week.

As for the cornerback position, during the Cowboys game after Jackson's injury, Cooper DeJean moved to the outside at CB2, and Michael Carter II played in the slot. If Jackson is not able to play, Fangio said the plan will be the same against the Bears.

Fangio even mentioned that the fourth safety on the team is Carter. This was suspected all along, since Eagles general manager Howie Roseman mentioned it after Carter was traded from the Jets to Philly.

The plan is set for Fangio, but will it work? That's something Eagles fans are going to have to wait to see against the Bears, as there will be a lot of nail-biters for that contest.
