Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly took a major risk when he traded quarterback Nick Foles for another quarterback, injury plagued Sam Bradford. Following another major season-ending knee injury, Bradford will have to work incredibly hard to bounce back in 2015. But given the medical staff and sports science philosophies used by the Eagles, Bradford may be in a perfect situation for his recovery. Bradford has shown elite potential but he’s never been able to put it all together. Can he bounce back for the Eagles during the upcoming season? All that and more in this morning’s serving of Bacon, Eggs and Eagles!

Realistic Projections for Every NFL Star Returning from Injury in 2015Gary Davenport of BleacherReport.com

"Injuries are a fact of life in the NFL.Of course, some teams learn the facts of life in a harsher manner than others.Take, for instance, the Arizona Cardinals in 2014. Ten games into the season, the Cardinals were 9-1 with the best record in the NFL. Then quarterback Carson Palmer went down. Then backup Drew Stanton went down. The Redbirds limped to an 11-5 finish, which was good enough to make the playoffs, but with bad-joke punch line Ryan Lindley under center, their postseason run was effectively over before it started."

LB Graham Sets His Sights HighDave Spadaro of PhiladelphiaEagles.com

"In a very short period of NFL time, Brandon Graham has lived a full career. A first-round draft pick in 2010, his season ended with a knee injury. He’s been climbing the mountain since then.“I could not be more excited about what’s going on,” Graham said as the Eagles’ June mini-camp ended at the NovaCare Complex. “I’m feeling the best I’ve ever felt.”Good thing. And deserved. Graham has worked on every phase of his game since his rookie-season injury, he’s adapted his skills and changed his body to fit a new system and he realized the reward when the Eagles kept him on board with a four-year contract early in free agency."

What’s Wrong with Evan Mathis?Ty Schalter of BleacherReport.com

"When the Philadelphia Eagles released All-Pro guard Evan Mathis, everyone wanted to know what was wrong with Chip Kelly. The Eagles’ head coach might not have thought the two-time Pro Bowler was a perfect fit for the Eagles’ scheme, or worth the kind of contract his credentials demand. But Mathis is the latest in a long line of outstanding Eagles Kelly thought he could do better without: DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin have all been sent packing."

Handing out 10 awards from the Eagles’ offseason, in stick figure formJimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com

"The 2015 Eagles offseason was about as busy as an offseason can be, with Chip Kelly massively turning the roster over and taking the team in a new direction. And so, during this slow time, let’s hand out 10 awards from the Eagles’ offseason. Or perhaps more accurately, I just feel like posting my favorite drawings of the offseason.1) The Five Stages of Grief, or the ‘#HeineyStung’ Award: LeSean McCoyPeople deal with grief in many ways, but often in the following five stages. Here’s how McCoy dealt with the reality of being traded to Buffalo."

Predicting Every NFL Team’s Most Surprising Starter Ahead of Training CampRussell S. Baxter of BleacherReport.com

"We are closing in on that time…finally.Training camps around the NFL will open later this month. That means there will be jobs available, some more than others, on all 32 teams. One of our most valuables assets in keeping up with the many moves around the league is the utilization of the Ourlads depth charts. Don Shonka and his staff do a terrific job keeping everyone up to snuff on a daily basis."

Unless you weren’t awake at all yesterday, the United States Women’s National Soccer Team won the Women’s World Cup and the Eagles’ official Twitter account joined in on the celebration.
