2014 NFL Mock Draft Eagles Play It “Safe”
By Jesse Shuter
28. Carolina Panthers
Allen Robinson
Wide Receiver, Penn State
Robinson is a very skilled wide receiver, and could very possibly drop to the second round. However, the Panthers really need wide receiver help for Cam Newton, because besides that they may be the best team in football.
29. New England Patriots
Davante Adams
Wide Receiver, Fresno State
The Patriots could do a lot of things here, and depending on what they do in free agency they may not take a wide receiver in the draft. That being said, the Patriots need to get some targets for future hall of fame quarterback Tom Brady.
30. San Francisco 49ers
Lamarcus Joyner
Cornerback/Safety, Florida
Joyner is a very talented and versatile secondary player. His size may scare of many teams, and it is widely thought he would be best used as a nickelback. The 49ers may need help somewhere else more, but since they can afford to use Joyner in nickel formations he is a great value pick here.
31. Denver Broncos
Jason Verrett
Cornerback, TCU
The Broncos have a few other needs, but with the very likely departure of cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and the age of cornerback Champ Bailey, they need cornerback help desperately.
32. Seattle Seahawks
Morgan Moses
Offensive Tackle, Virginia
The Seahawks do not really need much as last year’s super bowl victory showed. Therefore they should sure up their offensive line and get a steal in Moses.
