Beau Allen NT Wisconsin 224th overall

Beau Allen is quite simply a big man. At 6’2, 333lbs Allen is a good fit to be a rotational nose tackle behind current starter Bennie Logan. Defensive line depth was a concern coming into this season. I would’ve preferred an inside linebacker with this selection, but this pick allows the team to rotate more consistently with confidence that they’re not losing any beef up front. Allen is a hard worker and will do anything the team will ask of him. 7th round picks are often deemed a long shot to make the team, but in this case the Eagles got a player who works hard and fills a need. Hopefully he can come in and contribute on Sundays.
