Washington is bringing some extra baggage to Philadelphia on Sunday with wide receiver DeSean Jackson’s return. He will have something to prove against the team that cut him in the off season and expect at least one explosive play from him that puts points on the board. But with Kirk Cousins taking over at quarterback for Washington, they will rely more on the running game and conservative approach in the passing game.

That will not be enough though, as the Philadelphia Eagles have proven their ability to take over games in the second half during the first two weeks. The offensive weapons will prove to be too much for Washington to handle, with match up nightmares in running backs LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles being ultra-effective in both the running and passing game. Also, the defense has been impressive late in games, forcing turnovers when it matters the most. Expect to see the Philadelphia Eagles to steal at least two interceptions and force three sacks against the inexperienced Cousins.

DeSean Jackson’s return to the Linc proves to be lackluster. Eagles D pounces early and often on Cousins. McCoy with 2 touchdowns

I want to say a home game against Washington should be an easy win for the Eagles, but in a division rivalry such as the Redskins and Eagles, anything can and will happen. Coming off of a short week and off of an emotional win against the Colts, I really think the Eagles fall into this trap. There is no doubt the Birds are the better team, however, I think they lose one that they probably should win.
