Da’Norris Searcy is a powerful man, standing at 5ft 11″ and 223 lbs. Whilst we can’t find out his exact weight now, he weighed 223 lbs at the combine three years ago so he’s probably something similar now.
Below we can look at his combine results via MockDraftable, bear in mind he is being compared to strong safeties here.
As the above graph shows, Searcy is an interesting athlete. He is very big and powerful, ranking in the top 10th percentiles in weight, arm length and bench press. This does not mean he is slow though, he had a very good 20 yard shuttle time and his 40 yard dash is also above average. So he’s big and strong with long arms and also reasonably fast – I like that.
However, he clearly lacks explosion as an athlete. Whilst his broad jump is average, his vertical jump is pretty weak. A poor vertical jump combined with below average height means he won’t be great in jump ball situations.
