Round 6: Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor

It’s clear that the Eagles need to address wide receiver, even after drafting Jaelen Strong in the first round like they did in this mock draft. Baylor wide receiver Antwan Goodley is a prospect that the Eagles have been following closely. They met with him at the Senior Bowl and also attended his pro day, though that could have been them also watching quarterback Bryce Petty as well.

At 5’10”, 209 lbs., Goodley has a similar build to current Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff. He’s built like a running back and carries the ball like one after the catch. Goodley’s ability to make plays with the ball in his hands and being tough to bring down is something that could really intrigue the Eagles. He also has great deep speed as well to be a big play threat down the field.

Many may be scared off by his size but Goodley is tough and plays bigger than he is listed. He knows how to high point the ball and elevate to get it, even though he may be smaller than most receivers. Goodley also has experience lining up practically everywhere on the field including outside receiver, slot receiver and even in the backfield. That kind of versatility on top of his ability after the catch is something the Eagles may not be able to pass up on during the final day of the draft.
