Philadelphia Eagles fans know all about the dangers of falling in love with a prospect after an impressive combine performance. So when Conley burst on the scene with his freakish combine numbers, it was met with much skepticism among fans. However he’s more than just a “workout warrior.” Conley has the skill set and production to back it up.
At 6’3″, 213 lbs. with a 4.3 40-yard dash, Conley has an impressive size and speed combo but he can also run any route you ask of him. Conley is a late round option that can help stretch the field vertically, in an offense that is lacking a proven threat in that area. He played in a run heavy offense at Georgia so he’ll have no problem blocking in the run game, a quality Chip Kelly covets in wide receivers.
Conley fits what the Eagles are looking for off the field as well. Selected as an SEC representative to serve a two-year term on the NCAA Student Athlete Advisory Committee and inducted into Georgia’s Student Athlete Leadership Academy. Conley certainly fits the bill of a high character player, which is important to be a potential player on the Eagles.
