My 164th Story Thank You Inside The Iggles
I have had the esteemed pleasure to write for Inside the Iggles for 18 months. In some circles that is a very short time, in some circles that is a very long time. But to me, this has been a priceless and cherished experience. Thank You.
It was the fall of 2013 when I answered the tweet to come write for the site. I had been blogging previously, but the opportunity to focus on one team and follow them, write about them, and share stories with fans and readership was too compelling. I have not regretted a single day.
I thank each Philadelphia Eagles player who retweeted or favorited one of my tweets, usually about a story featuring them. I thank Chip Kelly for putting the Philadelphia Eagles back onto the map as one of the most talked about and exciting teams of the NFL. I thank my colleagues who have shared ideas, laughs, and even a good kidding as we tried to bring what was happening to the team to the fans.

I thank each and every Philadelphia Eagles fan who shared thoughts, comments, and discussions with me. Each of you has good insight, and confirms my claim that the Philadelphia Eagles fan-base is one of the most intelligent fan bases in the NFL. Whether we saw eye to eye, agreed to disagree, or simply had an exchange, your views have always inspired me. It’s that passion of Philadelphia that I’ve seen time and again that sustains my hope that “this is our year”.
The Eagles are a very good team, but three players have stood out for me since I’ve been a writer for Inside The Iggles: Cedric Thornton, Lane Johnson, and Jerome Couplin. Each have been players I enjoy reading about, writing about, and following on twitter. And thankfully, they have been followers of mine as well.
The writers at Inside The Iggles will continue to write the quality and cover the topics as you’ve come to expect. Sometimes controversial, sometimes insightful, but always entertaining. Meanwhile, I will be setting up shop next week at a new site, and have some great stories in the pipeline. There’s more to the Philadelphia Eagles than the NFL 2015 draft, and I want to give you a taste of what that is.

I will continue to write stories about the Eagles, and if you follow me on twitter @milroyigglesfan, I will continue to keep you up to date of the latest developments. We all face one of the most important drafts of recent memory this year. And immediately following that, we have the undrafted free agent signings which can be the difference maker. Then we have OTAs, training camp, preseason, roster cuts, and then NFL season! It will be a very busy time for all of us, and hopefully our efforts will give you a good perspective this season. Best of luck to the Eagles in 2015! Best of luck and wishes to all the Eagles fans everywhere!
