Sam Bradford looks sharp

The biggest question the Philadelphia Eagles were facing was the overall health of quarterback Sam Bradford. Through seven practices, it seems that Bradford feels and looks 100% healthy. Sam came out of the gate a bit rusty during the first couple practices, but has really picked it up of late and has looked really sharp.

Bradford recently spoke about his plan for this summer and his overall health. The honesty of his answers was also refreshing and it was great to learn where Sam is at mentally and physically. It’s very encouraging to hear and see Bradford coming back to form and just playing football again.

"“We talked about if from day one, that when I wasn’t taking reps in OTAs, the goal was to be ready by camp so that when it got here, I’d be able to go out there and not be limited, and that’s where we’ve been so far. I feel better than what I was expecting. I thought my knee would hold up but I wasn’t sure since I hadn’t put it through four days of practice coming into camp. But the way my knee feels now, it feels great, so I’m really happy with where I am right now.”"

Even with all the optimism, the real test for Sam Bradford will be the preseason games. The truth is, there really isn’t a pass rush in practice and guys aren’t gonna sack the QBs. Once that red practice jersey comes off and the live pass rush is on, we’ll all see if Sam can really make strides into becoming the franchise QB he has shown flashes of in practice.
