Byron Maxwell vs. Julio Jones
These type match ups are the reason why Byron Maxwell is in Philadelphia and making the salary that he is. Matching up with Julio Jones presents a tough challenge for any corner as he’s one of the best wide receivers in this league. Maxwell gets a great opportunity to justify his contract by shutting down one of the leagues best on prime time.
Maxwell has said earlier this week that he expects to play one side exclusively on Monday night but don’t be surprised if he shadows Jones. Maxwell is the Eagles best corner by far and physically is the teams best option against Jones. As is the case with any great player it’s tough to shut them down all game so you can expect Jones to make his far share of plays. If Maxwell can limit those plays, especially x-plays, it’ll go a long way in slowing down the Falcons passing attack.
Advantage: Julio Jones
