Robert Griffin, III, Washington Redskins

Let’s just get this one out of the way. NO.

First, out of a possible 64 games played since he was drafted in 2012 he started only 35. He set records in his rookie season. He was possibly the new era of mobile quarterbacks for the NFL. He had 3,200 passing yards with an astounding 20 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Those are significant numbers for a rookie.

He followed that season with 3,203 passing yards, with 12 interceptions. He missed the final three  games that season due to a series of injuries including a possible concussion and a season-ending tear to his ACL.

In 2014 he dislocated his ankle running out of bounds in Week 2. This was a no-contact injury and kind of freakish. He missed the following six games. Upon his return he played seven of the remaining eight games where he threw four touchdowns and six interceptions.

Second, he appears overly concerned about what people think of him. He doesn’t have restraint when heckled by fans, especially on twitter. Who designs their own trademark before they really do anything anyway.

No, the Redskins didn’t ruin RG, III. He did that all by himself and has most likely seen his best days.
