12. New Orleans Saints: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson

This is one of my favorite players in the entire draft class.

Alexander is everything you want in a cornerback. He has terrific instincts, he thrives in man coverage and, of course, he can talk trash with the best of them. He interviewed very well and showed off his jokey personality at the combine and a lot of teams took notice.

He lacks the ideal size most teams look for in corners, but the Saints need help in the secondary and Alexander is the best corner on the board at this point. He has the potential to be a lockdown corner in the NFL despite his size and that’s something New Orleans probably wouldn’t want to pass up.
