Philadelphia Eagles: Ranking The Free Agent Signings
By Ryan Quigley
3. Brandon Brooks
Eagles
The Eagles’ offensive line was a disaster last season and the Eagles needed to make an upgrade this offseason.
Guard Brandon Brooks is that upgrade.
Both of the Eagles’ starting guards from last season are decent backups at best and their lackluster play was a huge reason why the offense struggled. Philadelphia needed to bring in a solid player to help block in the running game, which is where Brooks comes in. Brooks has become one of the better run blockers in the league and played a major role in the success of Houston’s run game over the last several years.
Brooks isn’t terrific in pass protection, but this could be a very good pickup for the Eagles, especially if they plan on drafting Ezekiel Elliott in this year’s draft.
