Yes, Malcolm Jenkins has been a solid player and leader in his two seasons as the veteran free safety. Yes, Rodney McLeod should be a fantastic offseason pickup as the new strong safety.
But then what?
The depth after those two starters essentially consists of Chris Maragos—far better equipped as a special teams ace. The others on the depth chart are Ed Reynolds and Jerome Couplin, who have been waived a total of five teams between them in their two seasons in the league.
