8) Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor

This might come as a bit of a surprise. Of all the reports that have surfaced over recent weeks, the prevailing notion that the Eagles will pursue a dynamic receiver makes the most sense to me. Corey Coleman is the most explosive receiver in this class and fits the mold of the separator that Roseman covets. There are a number of other players that could fit here; Shaq Lawson, Deforest Buckner or Ronnie Stanley to name a few, but Coleman brings the most value. The Eagles want to get faster on offense, and Corey Coleman has the potential to be one of the premiere explosive pass catchers in the NFL. Moreover, he’s a much more complete package than some think, possessing the ability to attack the ball in the air, and make defenders miss in space. It’s tough to say whether or not the Eagles will target receivers in the later rounds and allow Agholor and Matthews to develop in the mean time. However, a player of Coleman’s caliber is incredibly enticing as a fallback plan.
