16) Detroit Lions: Sheldon Rankins DT, Louisville

After losing Ndamukong Suh last year the Lions get a chance to replace him with the best pure interior lineman in this draft.

17) Atlanta Falcons: Shaq Lawson DE, Clemson

The Falcons have had trouble stopping the run and rushing the passer for a few years now and after taking Vic Beasley out of Clemson last year this year they take his teammate. In my last mock this was Kevin Dodd, but this time it’s Lawson.

Many think Darron Lee of Ohio State goes here, and while that’s what I would do, his stock has cooled.

18) Indianapolis Colts: Taylor Decker OT, Ohio State

Taylor Decker isn’t the most talented lineman in round one as he profiled purely as a right tackle in the NFL. The Colts don’t care, they heard offensive lineman and then immediately turned in their ticket.

19) Buffalo Bills: Reggie Ragland ILB, Alabama

The Bills are missing the hulking presence at inside backer that makes a Rex Ryan defense complete and Ragland fits that profile.

20) *New Orleans Saints (via New York): Darron Lee OLB, Ohio State

The Saints need anything that goes on the defensive side of the ball, Lee is a great coverage linebacker with incredible speed to help cover the running backs and tight ends that ran so freely against New Orleans last year.
