Fifth Round (No. 153 overall): Avery Young, OT, Auburn

The Eagles desperately need help on the offensive line. They’ve already signed Brandon Brooks and Stefen Wisniewski this offseason, but Jason Peters is in the twilight of his career and the Eagles cannot afford to leave the offensive line untouched for the third draft in a row.

Avery Young brings good size (6’5″, 328 pounds) and versatility to the table. He has the ability to play tackle or guard and has displayed solid athleticism as an interior blocker. Young would not be forced into a starting job as a rookie, which would be an ideal situation for him as he continues to round out his game.

Learning from Jason Peters would be a pretty good bonus as well.
