Sixth Round (No. 188 Overall): Tavon Young, CB, Temple
The Eagles need to add depth at cornerback. Eric Rowe showed some positive signs as a rookie, but he still has a long way to go before becoming a sure-fire starter. Nolan Carroll was solid for the Eagles last season until a broken ankle ended his season, which could cause him to lose a step.
The Eagles must draft secondary help and Tavon Young could provide that.
Young is undersized at only 5’9″, but he has good speed and his ball skills are top-notch. Despite his size, he plays receivers aggressively and makes them fight for every opportunity. He probably wouldn’t make it on the outside, but Young would be a very good emergency slot corner in Philadelphia.
Next: Seventh Round (No. 233 Overall)
