Seventh Round (No. 251 Overall): Derek Watt, FB, Wisconsin
Philadelphia will be using a fullback again this year! Yay!
The Eagles have already signed former Chargers linebacker Ryan Mueller to play fullback this season and tight end Trey Burton could also be in the running for the job, but with their final pick in the draft, it wouldn’t hurt to bring in some more competition.
In case you were wondering, yes, Derek Watt is the younger brother of superstar defensive end J.J. Watt. If Derek Watt is unlucky enough, he may just have the opportunity to try and block his older brother one day.
The Eagles have some bigger fish to fry, but this would be a good time in the draft to invest a pick in a fullback.
