Fifth Round (No. 153 overall): Zack Sanchez, CB, Oklahoma
No offensive linemen still? Is this a Chip Kelly draft? Not quite, and I do expect the Eagles to address the offensive line at some point during this draft. Getting a cornerback is slightly more important at this particular point however. Sanchez is 5’11 and 185 pounds and started 37 games for the Sooners. Sanchez is a ball-hawk and would help bolster a secondary that had 15 interceptions last season. While some have criticized his size, his 4.5 and 4.48 40-yard dash times indicate top-shelf speed. He had a nine foot, seven inch broad jump and 35.5″ vertical jump. Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz loves his secondary to generate turnovers, and that’s precisely what Sanchez can offer.
Honorable Mention: Tyler Johnstone, OT, Oregon
Next: Fifth Round (No. 164 Overall)
