Ryan Mathews

2015-16 Stats: 105 carries/539 yards/6 touchdowns/3 fumbles

Projected 2016-17 Stats: 240 carries/1,080 yards/6 touchdowns/4 fumbles

It’s no secret that the Eagles’ run game was a mess last season, and it certainly isn’t ‘light years’ better this year. Doug Pederson is on record that the backfield is going to be run as a committee with Mathews being the clubhouse leader and starter.

Believe it or not, Mathews averaged 5.1 yards a carry last season. The problem with him is he’s fragile. If he’s there all 16 games and the offensive line in front of him is better, I can see Mathews going over 1,000 yards, averaging 4.5 yards and carry and having another 6 touchdowns.
