5 things about the Eagles in 2015 to look back on fondly
3. Week 9: The Eagles silence AT&T Stadium in overtime
The Eagles would get revenge in week nine over those same Cowboys by sticking it to them in their own house. After a hard fought contest went into overtime, the Eagles won the toss, took the ball and marched down the field. On the game’s final play, quarterback Sam Bradford delivered a strike to Jordan Matthews, and the wide receiver stiff-armed, hurdled and side stepped his way to a walk-off touchdown.
TV cameras shifted to the Jerry Jones suite to capture the heartbreak of the Cowboys owner and then shifted to the heartbroken fans. The deafening roar of AT&T Stadium transitioned to deafening silence, and the Eagles were right back in the thick of things. Any victory in the NFL is a hard earned one. Any victory in dramatic fashion is satisfying for fans, but getting both and doing it over the Cowboys makes winning euphoric for an Eagles fan. We all went to work smiling on Monday.
