The saying goes ‘turnovers start by rushing the passer’, and it just so happens the Eagles have a very talented defensive line and are decent at creating a pass rush. With the talent this team has up front, there is a notion that cornerback play may improve because all of the pieces will work better together.
The defensive line may be among the top 10 league-wide. The linebacker group is young, talented, and arguably the best safety combination in the league. The Eagles cornerbacks’ will have plenty of opportunities to cash in on poor quarterback play. There’s also the luxury of having a great defensive coordinator. Fielding a rookie and sophomore cornerback may not be a stretch because they can be protected in this scheme and learn on the go.
