5. Eagles History At Cornerback

The Eagles have a rich history at the cornerback position, but they also don’t look to be challenging for a Super Bowl this season. They probably won’t even make the playoffs.

In recent times, we have seen them splurge on a free agents to cure their secondary issues. For example, there was Nnamdi Asomugha and Byron Maxwell, who both looked more suited to play flag football than play in the NFL. History suggests, to find a cornerback, you must draft one, much like a quarterback.

Rowe and Mills are players the Eagles need to persist with. The cornerback position has been a thorn in the team’s side for years now, and having both gives the Eagles a golden opportunity to nurture two young talents who could be two major pieces of this defense for a while.
