Left Outside Linebacker

  1. Nigel Bradham
  2. Joe Walker

The Eagles acquired Nigel Bradham early in free agency this offseason. Bradham was hand-picked by Schwartz, who was his former defensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills in 2014, to help round out the Eagles’ linebacker corps. Under Schwartz in 2014, Bradham had his best statistical season to date with 104 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 6 pass deflections and an interception.

A logical backup to Bradham would be Joe Walker, a seventh-round selection in this year’s draft out of Oregon. Walker displayed good coverage skills and fluidity as a finesse linebacker at Oregon and would likely be a good fit sitting behind Bradham at left outside linebacker. Walker may have an uphill battle making the team, but like Myke Tavarres, Walker is a good special teams player, which could be a big factor in the decision to keep him on the team or not.
