Strong Safety

  1. Malcolm Jenkins
  2. Chris Maragos

With Rodney McLeod at free safety and Malcolm Jenkins at strong safety, the Eagles could have one of the best safety tandems in the NFL in 2016.

Once upon a time, the Eagles spent year after year wasting high draft picks on players such as Nate Allen and Jaiquawn Jarret, hoping that they could replace eventual Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins. Needless to say, they never ended up striking any gold.

At least until they signed Jenkins in 2013

Jenkins has been a revelation for the Eagles. In two years with Philadelphia, Jenkins has compiled 189 tackles, 25 pass deflections, 4 forced fumbles and 5 interceptions (he would have far more interceptions if he had better hands). Jenkins is an unquestioned leader on the Eagles’ defense and will play a huge role for the team in 2016 with special teams ace Chris Maragos backing him up.
