Left Guard

  1. Allen Barbre
  2. Stefen Wisniewski

The starter at left guard is a bit of a mystery, but don’t be surprised if Allen Barbre retains his starting job at the position. Barbre started all 16 games for the Eagles in 2015 and despite his average performance as a starter, Barbre worked entirely with the first team during spring practices.

All fingers point to Barbre winning the job, but he’ll need to beat out veteran guard Stefen Wisniewski first. The Eagles signed Wisniewski to a cap-friendly one-year deal earlier this offseason and it could pay dividends for them. Wisniewski has started every game he’s played in his NFL career and brings good versatility to the table. Wisniewski can play guard and center, but his best bet to start will be at guard considering Jason Kelce is locked in as the team’s unquestioned starter at center.

The Eagles aren’t in a great position at left guard, but they do have a couple solid options to choose from.
