Samaje Perine, Oklahoma

How strong is Perin? Strong enough that he’s been compared to another former Oklahoma running back.

Drawing comparisons to Adrian Peterson is kind of a big deal. But don’t get it twisted. As good as Peterson was in college, he doesn’t hold the Sooners’ all-time rushing record. That title now belongs to Perine. In just three years at Oklahoma, Perine ran for 4,122 yards (Peterson ran 4,041 yards) and 49 touchdowns (Peterson scored 41).

Calling Perine the next Adrian Peterson is a bit reckless. But there’s no denying the upside that Perine brings to the table.

CBS Sports projects Perine will be taken in either the third or fourth round. The Eagles will have no shortage of opportunities to take the greatest runner in Oklahoma history.
