Week 1: at Washington Redskins, Sunday 1:00 PM ET

Last time they met: 2016 Week 14 Redskins 27, Eagles 22

The Eagles start off the season with an important divisional match up.

Philadelphia will look to get the monkey off their back as the team has not defeated the NFC East rival Washington Redskins since the 2014 season.

Both games in 2016 resulted in one-score losses for the Eagles. Losing 27-20 in Week 7, and 27-22 in Week 14.

Without DeSean Jackson or Pierre Garcon at wide receiver and an unhappy signal caller in Kirk Cousins, Carson Wentz and the Eagles get off on the right foot with a tough road victory, moving to 4-1 in their last five season openers.

Result: Eagles Win (1-0)
