Week 1: at Washington Redskins

It would be criminal of me not to put the season opener on this list. It’s the day we all have circled on our calendars. The Eagles will get to kick off the season against one of their biggest rivals, which will obviously be a ton of fun.

It should be noted, however, that this game isn’t exactly a walk in the park for Philadelphia. Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has had his way with the Eagles over the last few years. It will be interesting to see how the Eagles’ youngsters (assuming they have a rookie or two at cornerback) fair against a gunslinger like Cousins.

As a divisional matchup, it will be imperative for the Eagles to get a head start on the rest of the NFC East. By beating Washington, they’ll already be on the right track.
