Eagles: 5 Possible targets at linebacker in 2018’s draft
2. Kendall Joseph, outside linebacker, Clemson Tigers
Last season, as the Clemson Tigers kept the Alabama Crimson Tide in their cross hairs while everyone else tried to devise a plan to avoid them. Eventually, the Tigers got their wish, a rematch with the team that kept them from claiming the title of the nation’s best a year earlier. They’d win it as the offense played their hearts out and the defense went toe to toe with the Tide’s offense.
Ben Boulware got a ton of attention during the season, and that would force Kendall Joseph into a very large shadow, but there are a few that believe Joseph was the best linebacker on that team a season ago. With Boulware now on the Carolina Panthers‘ roster, the spotlight is fully on Joseph. Playing behind that Tigers defensive line will give Joseph plenty of opportunities. There won’t be one Tigers fan that complains if he improves on the 108 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and the interception he recorded a season ago.
